巴克杜爾/羅特米勒的再生式煙氣加熱器采用“Ljungstr?m” 原理，換熱部件主要是一套蓄熱裝置（換熱元件）。該換熱元件能夠不斷地吸收、蓄熱并釋放介于兩個或兩個以上流體間的熱量。巴克杜爾公司能夠提供轉子式和定子式（羅特米勒類型）的兩種熱交換器。
巴克杜爾/羅特米勒在過去的60年里已經向市場提供了1800多臺熱交換器，即使在一些極端困難的應用場合，這些熱交換器都有優異的表現。這充分地展現出我們在全球范圍內的豐富經驗。實踐證明，巴克杜爾熱交換器的可靠性超過了99%。在一個750MW的燃煤機組，使用了巴克杜爾的熱交換器技術，該機組只采用了單臺空氣預熱器（羅特米勒），已經可靠而有效的運行了25年。現在，歐洲大型鍋爐系統的新型設計都采用這種單臺空氣預熱器的方式。
The regenerative heat exchanger of Balcke-Dürr/Rothemühle operate on the ‘Ljungstr?m-Principle’ and consist of a storage mass (heating elements) which continuously absorbs and releases heat between two or more flowing media. Balcke-Dürr is in the position to offer heat exchanger with rotating as well as stationary (“Rothemühle type“) heating surface.
Balcke-Dürr/Rothemühle has supplied more than 1800 heat exchangers in the last 60 years, some under most difficult conditions, and has experiences worldwide. The solid heat exchangers have an availability of more than 99%. This operational availability guarantees that a 750 MW bituminous coal fired power plant is operated within a single draft boiler with just one air preheater of Balcke-Dürr (Rothemühle) for more than 25 years. European big boilers of new design are all working in single flow arrangement.
